Two students taken into custody for terrorizing
Shreveport Police took two 10-year-old students into custody today on charges of terrorizing after writing two threatening notes at Sunset Acres Elementary School in the 6500 block of West Canal.
The boy and girl were reportedly upset at their teacher and wrote the notes. The notes were collected and police were contacted about 11:30 a.m. The students were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.
While the students were taken into custody, there did not appear to be any potential danger to staff or students at the school, nor did it appear that the students had any means to carry out the threats.
This is the latest of several such cases here in Shreveport. Parents are encouraged to inform their children of the seriousness of this type of activity, so the students will refrain from repeating the mistakes of their peers.
