Police seek two robbers

Shreveport Police Department is seeking two people for separate, unrelated armed robberies.

The first suspect is Kenneth "Midnight" Jefferson, 45, of the 6800 block of Oak Branch in Shreveport. He is wanted for a purse snatching that occurred on Jan. 25, 2007, in the 4100 block of Hollywood. The victim and the victim's wife were sitting in a car when Jefferson allegedly reached inside of his vehicle and grabbed the man's wallet, which was in his jacket pocket. After obtaining money, the suspect tossed the wallet back to the victim and fled on foot.

The second incident occurred on November 2, 2006, in the 2500 block of Hollywood. Tremaine Baker, 21, of the 3900 block of Sumner in Shreveport is wanted for first-degree robbery. He allegedly entered the Village Mart and picked out two expensive trendy jackets and two expensive pairs of tennis shoes. He put them on the counter, but when the employee went to bag the merchandise, he acted like he had a gun and threatened to kill the clerk. He then grabbed the merchandise and fled.
