FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Two year old abuse case closed
The investigation into a note found at Caddo Middle Magnet remains under investigation. Several notes have now surfaced at the school, so it appears there are "copycat" suspects at work.
There is not believed to be a real threat at the school, although all the notes are being looked at seriously and are subject to criminal prosecution.
Detectives are working to identify the authors of those notes at this time.
Shreveport Police Department's Youth Services Bureau is investigating a bomb threat that occurred at Caddo Middle Magnet late Friday.
A note was found at the school that had a list of students' names, teacher's names and the word "bomb" several times.
Shreveport Police Department was made aware of the situation last night and launched an investigation at the school first thing this morning. Detectives spent the day looking through the school for anything out of the ordinary. They also talked to students, parents and teachers. At this time, no arrests have been made, but the investigation continues. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Jimmy Ray at 673-7020 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
Any such threat involving a school is taken very seriously, and such an offense is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
