Police investigate possible child abuse

An investigation is underway into a 2-year-old boy who was taken to LSU Hospital with a broken leg to determine if the child is a victim of child abuse.

The boy is being examined to determine whether his leg was broken as a result of a fall from a bed he was playing on, or whether the leg was injured by the hands of someone else.

The boy went to LSU about midnight this morning. Police were called to investigate.

No arrests have been made at this time.
