Police Make an arrest in Rape/Robberies from this morning

Shreveport police have arrested a Shreveport man for two robberies, a kidnapping and a sexual assault that occurred early this morning.

Cameron Diggs, 19, was charged this afternoon after an anonymous citizen provided information that led to detectives questioning him about the case.

Diggs allegedly approached a black female sitting in a delivery truck about 4:45 a.m. in the 5800 block of Line Avenue this morning. He robbed her of money and then sexually assaulted her.

He then fled on foot to the 900 block of Pierremont, where he made a white female sitting in a car drive him to an ATM machine. He then forced her to withdraw money and attempted to sexually assault her. He then had her drive to E. 75th and Line Avenue, where he fled the vehicle.

He is charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of simple kidnapping and one count of aggravated rape.
