Bank Robber Arrested

Shreveport police have captured a bank robber just minutes after he robbed the Chase Bank downtown.

Brian Coleman, 25, of Shreveport was caught by Officer Richard Turpen shortly after he left the bank in the 400 block of Texas Avenue. Coleman allegedly entered the bank with a note, demanding money from the teller. He got the money, put it in a bag and fled the bank on foot.

Shortly after the call went out, Officer Turpen saw the robber and quickly arrested him.

The incident occurred about 9:25 a.m. today.
