Robbery arrests

Two arrests made in Wednesday robbery

Shreveport police have arrested two people in connection with the robbery of E-Z Money Check Cashing in the 9000 block of Jewella on Wednesday.

At about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, a male and female entered the business, tied up the victim and robbed her. A little while later, Detective Rod Demery, who was assigned to the robbery case, was told about a man suspected of stealing items from Best Buy. That suspect matched the description of the robbery suspect of the E-Z Money incident.

Detectives tracked down Robbie Guillyard, 22, of Shreveport and took him into custody for questioning. They also located Elyse Rock, 18, of Shreveport and questioned her. As a result of those interviews, both were arrested and charged with armed robbery with a firearm.

The investigation continues into the theft at Best Buy.
