People arrest for drugs

The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit has arrested several people during local drug operations over the past few days.

In all, 10 people have been arrested and several thousands of dollars worth of drugs and guns were confiscated.

Here's a rundown of the cases. All suspects are from Shreveport:

* Morris Lard, 50 and Lori Ann Wright, 37, of the 2700 block of Poland Street, charged with possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute after agents recovered approximately 19.4 grams of crack cocaine (street value $2,000) from their residence.

* Jerold Montgomery, 21, of the 1400 block of Kenneth Street, charged with second-offense possession of Schedule I marijuana after agents recovered about 18 grams of marijuana (street value $200) and seized four shotguns.

* Donnie Lee, 53, and Deandre Lee, 22, of the 100 block of East Stoner Avenue. Donnie Lee was charged with issuing worthless checks and a probation violation. Deandre Lee was charged with possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute after agents found 4 grams of rock cocaine (street value $400).

* Five people were arrested after being caught buying drugs in the Jewella/Hollywood area of Shreveport. Agents recovered about 7.2 grams of rock cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana and $86 cash as a result of the operation. The drugs have a street value of about $1,000. Those arrested were Terrence Lattin, 24, charged with second offense possession of Schedule I; Michael Coleman, 44, charged with possession of Schedule II; Morris Lee, 49, possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute; Johnnie Wright, 52, possession of Schedule I with intent to distribute; and Kimberly Sheppard, 18, possession of Schedule I.
