Two arrested for shooting Two arrested for shooting

Shreveport police have two people in custody for the shooting death of a 27-year-old Shreveport man last week.

Quinton Hill, 21, of Shreveport and Exzavious Thomas, 22, of Shreveport were arrested after a vehicle pursuit with police in the 1900 block of Patzman about 6 p.m. yesterday.

Hill is charged with principal to second-degree murder. Meanwhile, detectives investigating Thomas obtained enough evidence to charge him with second-degree murder.

The two are believed to have committed a home invasion robbery in the 2500 block of Regent last Tuesday night (March 14). During this crime, the resident, Charonne Smith, was shot in the chest and died. His pregnant girlfriend was also in the home at the time of the shooting. She was not injured.

The investigation continues.
