Home invasion ends in homicide

Shreveport police are looking for a man responsible for a home invasion robbery and homicide late last night.

Quinton D. Hill, 22, of Shreveport is wanted for principal to second-degree homicide in connection with the incident that occurred at 11:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Regent.

Police were called to the home and found 27-year-old Charrone Smith shot in the chest. He was taken to LSU Hospital but succumbed to his injury. According to Smith's girlfriend, who was home at the time, two men came in and were rubbing them when the victim was shot.

Anyone who knows Hill's whereabouts is asked to call detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
