FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shreveport police warn of suspicious activity
Shreveport officials are advising the public to be cautious of two people going to residences, claiming to be city employees working on a city project.
The Department of Operational Services has received information about three incidents involving senior citizens. In one case that occurred Monday, a white man and a white woman went to a home in the 3400 block of Garden Valley and told the resident they needed to look in the backyard for some future water/sewer construction project.
The resident took the man in the backyard, but the woman stayed inside the house. Another resident of the house came into the room and asked the woman what she was doing. Nothing was taken and the couple left. Another similar incident was reported in the Anderson Island neighborhood.
Residents should be advised that if anyone from the City of Shreveport approaches them, they will be in a marked city vehicle and will have a city identification badge.
