FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Search for Cory Rubio continues

Possibly the longest running missing persons case handled by the Shreveport Police Department still lingers in the minds of local detectives who have spent hours trying to find her.

This weekend marks the seventh year that she has been missing, causing sadness, confusion and anger to her family.

Cory Rubio’s car was found abandoned on Jan. 28, 1999 at the Stoner Boat Launch. The 24-year-old mother of two had last been seen the night before with her ex-husband, Airman Jesse McGay, at Barksdale Air Force Base.

Since then, numerous detectives have been assigned the case, but there have still been no breaks in the case.

Anyone with information – no matter how small or insignificant it may seem – is asked to call Shreveport Police at 673-7020.

“The investigation into this case will continue as long as the matter remains unresolved,” said Detective Pat Lamotte, the case investigator.
