Police arrest shooting suspect

Shreveport Police have the man accused of shooting a 15-year-old youth on New Year's Day.

Rodrique Bradley, 25, of Shreveport turned himself in for the shooting that occurred in the 7900 block of Wyngate. He is charged with aggravated battery, illegal use of a weapon and illegal possession of a firearem within 1,000 feet of a school campus.

There were several children playing nearby who were almost struck by bullets when the shooting occurred about 3:15 p.m. He and the victim reportedly were in a confrontation when Bradley pulled a gun and fired shots, striking the 15-year-old boy in the groin. He received a non life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to LSU Hospital.
