Police investigate rape

Shreveport Police are investigating the rape of a 31-year-old woman who was found in a Vivian motel room last week.

The rape reportedly occurred Dec. 28 at an unknown location in Shreveport. The woman, who had been raped and was disoriented, was then taken to Vivian where she woke up in the motel room the next morning. She then called 911 and was transported to LSU Hospital for examination.

The woman, who has been released from the hospital, bled heavily from some type of trauma that occurred during the events. All she could report is that the suspect was a clean-cut black male.
