What was reported as a robbery of Burger King is now closed with the arrests of two people for felony theft.
Freddie Kelly, 28, of Shreveport and Shacquline (correct spelling) Davis, 26, of Shreveport were both arrested this morning after they claimed they had been robbed.
According to the suspects, a black male entered the restaurant at 118 E. Bert Kouns, pointed a gun and demanded money from the safe. The suspect then put them in the cooler and left the store, they reported.
Thanks to investigative work by Detective Craig Ivy, it was determined that no suspects ever entered the restaurant, and instead, the suspects stole the money. The investigation continues.
