SPD "COP" Unit Begins Business Seminars
On October 19th at 6:00 PM in the Cedar Grove Memorial Library, the first of many Crime Prevention Seminars will be presented by the Shreveport Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing (COP) Unit.
These seminars will be conducted periodically in various locations around the city, focusing on educating business owners and managers to the importance of good crime prevention techniques and reporting procedures.
With the upcoming holidays, it will become imperative for business owners and their employees to heighten their awareness of potential security breaches and potential criminal activity. The Shreveport Police Department will these and many other concerns in these forums, offering suggestions to minimize the loss of property and the hopeful avoidance of injuries or death.
The COP Unit believes these programs will serve to solidifying the relationship between the department and it’s business customers and provide comprehensive information for their protection.
