Robberies Solved

Late Tuesday evening, investigators from the Shreveport Police Department's Armed Robbery Unit, Property Crimes Unit and Homicide Unit, along with DEA task force members completed their investigation into the robberies of Eckerds and Albertsons pharmacies.

Their collaborative efforts resulted with the arrest and charging of three males with one count each of armed robbery. During subsequent interviews by investigators, all suspects made a full confession relaying specific details of the elements in each crime.

Arrested for the Eckerds robbery were:

Jason D. Meshell, 11-23-77 and his brother Michael Meshell, 4-19-76.

Arrested for the Albertson’s robbery was Terry Willis, w/m, 9-12-81.

Upon the arrest of the Meshell brothers, investigators recovered syringes and a small amount of the drug Oxycontin. Upon the arrest of Willis, investigators recovered 456 tablets of Oxycontin, syringes and a about an ounce and a quarter of marijuana. The weapons from each robbery were also recovered.

Suspects remain in CCC.
