Insurance checkpoint set for Saturday

The Shreveport Police Department is continuing its effort to ensure motorists are complying with the Motor Vehicle Insurance Laws with an insurance checkpoint this weekend.

The Shreveport Police Department Traffic Enforcement Bureau and Queensborough/Ingleside Weed and Seed will conduct the checkpoint from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in patrol Area 3, which comprises west Shreveport.

Officers will be checking for proof of insurance, valid driver’s licenses and seat belt usage during the event.
