Man arrested in Morningside homicide

Shreveport detectives have arrested a 19-year-old man for the shooting death of Robert Davis.

Darien Miles of the 3100 block of Judson in Shreveport is charged with second-degree murder.

Davis, 38, was found deceased in his home on Monday by members of the Shreveport Fire Department, who were called after the victim failed to show up for work. The victim was bleeding from the head.

The victim was shot at least once, but Caddo Parish coroners are conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.

The shooting is believed to have occurred sometime on Sunday, Feb. 23, but the time of death has not yet been determined.

Miles and Davis were friends and apparently had some type of confrontation that led to the shooting.

The investigation continues.
