Man found murdered in his home

A 38-year-old Shreveport man was found deceased in his home shortly before noon today in the 2700 block of Morningside.

Robert Davis did not show up for work this morning, so the company contacted a neighbor, who notified authorities.

The Shreveport Fire Department entered a window to check on the man. It appeared he had been dead for several hours. Police were called and are now investigating the case as a homicide.

Davis is believed to have died of a gunshot wound. His body was taken to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office for autopsy.

Detectives are currently trying to determine the circumstances of what happened and locate a suspect.
