Stolen truck recovered after police chase

A police chase that started in Bossier Parish after suspects in a pickup truck stole a cash change machine from a car wash there ended up in Shreveport.

According to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the suspects (whose descriptions are unknown at this time) reportedly were seen leaving the seen of Little Joe’s Car Wash on Airline Drive.

Police chased them into Shreveport, where Shreveport Police Department assisted in the pursuit until it ended at East Jewella and Jewella near Union Pacific Railroad. The suspects jumped out of the truck and fled on foot.

The truck, a 1993 blue Chevy Silverado, had been reported stolen earlier this month. It may be the same vehicle Shreveport officers unsuccessfully pursued on Jan. 11.

The truck has been impounded and will be processed for evidence.

It is not known if the suspects in this vehicle are ones who have been involved in other money machines being removed from businesses in Shreveport and Bossier City.
