Insurance checkpoint nets 97 violators

Shreveport Police issued 97 traffic citations during an administrative checkpoint held in the 4600 block of W. 70^th St. yesterday.

During the checkpoint, which ran from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., officers checked 1, 240 vehicles and issued 97 traffic citations. Of the 97 citations issued, 54 were for insurance violations.
