Police to conduct insurance checkpoint

The Shreveport Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint, also known as an insurance checkpoint, on Wednesday, October 23rd.

The checkpoint will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Patrol Area 3, which encompasses a large part of west Shreveport. The previous administrative checkpoint, which was conducted on Kingston Road during the month of July, resulted in 864 vehicle checks, and the issuance of 46 citations, 14 of which were for insurance violations.
