Shreveport Police narcotics agents have put a dent in the illegal narcotics trade this week by arresting a Shreveport man who can best be described as a major drug trafficker.
On October 9, 2002, agents with the Shreveport Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, assisted by the DEA Task Force, arrested 31 year old Charles "Bug" Kessee, following a lengthy investigation into his narcotic distribution activities. Pursuant to this arrest, agents seized almost 200 grams of powdered cocaine, 6 grams of marijuana, $2, 600 of suspected narcotics proceeds, and a semi-auto pistol. The street value of the nabbed narcotics is estimated at approximately $20, 000.
According to agents who are investigating this case, Kessee is believed to have smuggled more than 100 kilograms of powdered cocaine into the Shreveport area.
Kessee has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic and Distribution of a Schedule II Narcotic.
