Shreveport Police investigate homicide
Shreveport Police detectives are investigating the city’s latest homicide in the wake of a shooting that occurred last night.
At 8:35 p. m. yesterday evening, patrol officers responded to a shooting call at The Highland Pub and Deli, located at 505 Stoner Ave. Upon arrival at that location, officers discovered 21 year old Christopher Williams, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds. The Shreveport Fire Department transported Williams to LSUHSC, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives have learned that the victim was involved in some type of confrontation with a male suspect in the parking lot of The Highland Pub and Deli. During this confrontation the victim and the unknown male began to physically fight, at which time another male suspect approached the pair and began firing shots at Williams. After Williams had been shot, the two suspects fled the scene.
