Local 2002National Night Out Competition

Shreveport’s National Night Out effort for 2002 was a tremendous success. One-hundred and ninety-two individuals registered approximately three-hundred blocks for the event. The overall turnout was excellent.

The following locations are the 2002 National Night Out winners in the 18 police districts throughout the city. Each of these locations will be receiving a permanently posted sign within the next few weeks.

District 1: 1700 block of Joe Louis Blvd

District 4: 2700 block of W. Caperton

District 5: 2400 block of C. E. Galloway

District 6: 3600 block of Madison Park

District 7: 4700 block of Thornhill

District 8: No entries received

District 9: 500 block of E. 84^th

District 10: 2600 block of Devaughn

District 11: 6900 block of Broadway

District 12: 4600 block of Westwood Park

District 13: No entries received

District 14: No entries received

District 15: 2900 block of Millard St.

District 16: 2600 block of Hoyt Dr.

District 17: 200 block of Pecan St.

District 18: No entries received (Downtown business district)
