National Night Out set for Tuesday
Mayor Keith Hightower and Chief of Police Jim Roberts will launch National Night Out at 6 p.m. Tuesday at a party taking place in Southwest Shreveport.
The city leaders will meet at Christ United Methodist Church parking lot in the 1200 block of Crabapple. Plenty of music, games and activities will take place for a crowd expected at over 500 people.
In all, 192 parties are registered to take place throughout the City of Shreveport – even more than last year.
This is the 19th year for the nationwide event, which involves 9,600 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, 32 million people are expected to participate.
