Hunter’s education to be held

The Shreveport Police Department will be hosting two Hunter’s Education Courses at the Shreveport Police Academy located at 6440 Greenwood Road.

The first session will be conducted:

• August 19-20 (Mon. and Tues.) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• August 24 (Sat.) from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The second session will be held:

• August 21-22 ( Wed. and Thurs.) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

• August 24 from (Sat.) 1 to 5 p.m.

To receive certification, students must attend the complete session and each session will be limited to fifty participants. Children under age ten may attend but cannot be certified. Hunter’s education is required for all hunters born after September 1, 1969.
