Officer arrested for misdemeanor offense

A Shreveport Police officer was arrested today on a charge of unauthorized use of a moveable.

Sheena White, 46, turned herself into Caddo Correctional Center after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

White, who is on administrative leave with pay pending an investigation, is accused of taking police property from a secured location without authorization.

Unauthorized use of a moveable is punishable by a maximum $500 fine and/or six months in jail.

White has been with the Shreveport Police Department since May of 1991.
