Police to conduct insurance checkpoint

The Shreveport Police Department will conduct an administrative checkpoint, also known as an insurance checkpoint, on Wednesday, July 17.

The checkpoint will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Patrol Area 4, which encompasses South Shreveport .

The previous administrative checkpoint was conducted on Knight Street during the month of April. It resulted 1,324 checks, 54 of which were for insurance violations. Of these, 36 were for insurance violations with the remainder being for registration, drivers license plate and seat belt violations.
