Police make arrest in Woodrow Street homicide

A 42-year-old Shreveport man was arrested on a charge of manslaughter for the beating death of a man in the 500 block of Woodrow Street.

Daryl C. Sowell of the 7100 block of Karen Street, was arrested Thursday night. He is charged with manslaughter for the death of O.C. Martin.

Martin was found deceased in his home around noon Sunday. He and Sowell reportedly had been fighting with each other.
