Police arrest two men for aggravated kidnaping, robbery

Two homeless men were arrested last Monday after they reportedly kidnaped another man, beat him and robbed him of his money.

Jason Morgan, 28, and Jackie Worley, 45, are each charged with aggravated kidnaping and armed robbery.

The victim, 44-year-old Souvankhan Douangdara, reportedly arrived in Shreveport early Monday on a Greyhound bus from New Mexico. As he was walking down North Market Street, the two suspects reportedly led the victim to their camp where they attacked him and beat him with fists, feet and wine bottles. They also took a small amount of money and the victim’s two bags.

The victim, who is from Laos, was tied to a tree stump but managed to escape and run to a bar at Havens and Grimmett, where the police were called.

Anyone who may have information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
