Police seek man wanted for attempted murder

Shreveport Police are looking for a 24-year-old Shreveport man wanted for attempted second degree murder.

Cameron D. Cooley, of the 200 block of East Gregg Street is being sought for shooting his 40-year-old uncle at the East Gregg residence on Oct. 28. The uncle was shot once in the upper back. The wound was non life-threatening.

When police units got behind the suspect’s vehicle shortly after the shooting, Cooley reportedly led police on a high speed chase. The chase ended in the 500 block of West 81st Street when Cooley fled the vehicle.

Cooley should be considered armed and dangerous. Call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000 or the Shreveport Police Department Communications Officers at 673-7300.

Residents calling Crime Stoppers could receive up to a $1,000 warrant for information that leads to Cooley’s arrest. They do not have to give their name.
