Passenger killed by car on Thornhill

A Shreveport man died after being hit by a car around 7:20 p.m. on Thornhill Avenue Thursday.

Bobbie R. Webb, 42, of Shreveport died after being taken to LSU Hospital. Webb was struck by a 1973 Pontiac in the 7100 block of Thornhill Avenue.

The car, driven by 24-year-old James Debouse of Shreveport was traveling southbound on Thornhill. At the intersection of Kemper Street and Thornhill, Debouse swerved to prevent hitting a dark-colored El Camino that had allegedly pulled out in front of him. Upon changing lanes, Webb reportedly stepped in the path of the Pontiac and got hit.

Debouse was not injured, but he was ticketed for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
