Eleven to graduate from Media Academy

Eleven media professionals will be graduating from the first-ever Shreveport Police Media Academy at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Since Monday reporters, producers and even a meteorologist have been learning about the Shreveport Police Department and the many responsibilities of police officers.

Representatives of KTBS-TV, KSLA-TV, KTAL-TV, KEEL Radio and The Times have learned everything from criminal investigations to traffic stops.

They will receive certificates of graduation and specially-made T-shirts for their hard work. The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fire and Police Academy Auditorium, 6440 Greenwood Road.
