SPD officer honored by Insurance Women

Officer Lindsay Bonner will honored by the Insurance Women of Shreveport-Bossier Inc. this evening for outstanding service to the community.

Bonner has been with the department for six years and currently patrols North Shreveport. He was nominated for the award because of his dedication and outstanding performance of duty.

The officer takes time to ensure that people affected by crime are well taken care of, as well as those whose actions could lead to a life a crime.

Recently, he worked closely with a teen-aged girl who started getting into trouble. The assistance he gave her had a great impact on her life, according to her mother, and she is back on the right track.

Bonner is a very thorough officer, makes good decisions and is well liked.

The award will be given to Bonner this evening as part of the Insurance Women’s National Safety Month. The event will be held at Ralph and Kacoo’s Restaurant in Bossier City.
