Police collect school supplies for needy children

Queensborough/Ingleside Weed and Seed wants Shreveport students to go back to school properly equipped with the tools they need to succeed.

The Weed and Seed program is collecting school supplies and monetary donations for school supplies through Aug. 20.

All types of materials and supplies are needed. Weed and Seed will even pick up gifts from anyone who would like to donate.

Supplies will be given to local schools. If residents want assistance, they need to contact their students’ schools.
