Police charge man with breaking into mobile homes

Shreveport police have charged Charles Williams, 44, of Shreveport with the May 27 burglary of Forest Estates Mobile Home Sales.

Several mobile homes on the lot had been broken into, and suspects had taken appliances, furniture and a utility trailer from the business.

Several other Shreveport and Bossier City mobile home sales businesses have been burglarized in similar fashion, but so far Williams is only charged with the incident at Forest Estates Mobile Home Sales, located in the 9400 block of Mansfield Road.

On June 28, officers stopped two male suspects using the trailer, which had been reported stolen. Detectives were able to trace the trailer to Williams.

If convicted, Williams faces up to 12 years in prison and a $2,000 fine.
