Man arrested after trying to steal fan

Shreveport police have arrested a Shreveport man on charges of aggravated burglary after he broke into a home and threatened to shoot the young occupants unless they gave him their electric fan.

David Harmon, 17, of the 700 block of West 68th Street was arrested about midnight Wednesday in the 6500 block of Union Street after allegedly entering an apartment, armed with a handgun.

According to reports, Harmon attempted to take the fan from the boys, who were ages 10 and 13. After he was met with resistance, he fled the scene.

Patrol caught up with Harmon a short while later at the same complex where the crime occurred.
