Two men shot, another injured in fight

Two men were shot and another was injured in a fight that turned into a shooting in the 200 block of North Emerald.

Charles James, 23, of Shreveport was shot in the buttocks and arm, while Jerome Adkins, 20, of Shreveport receive a graze wound to his rib cage. Both were taken to LSU Hospital, as was Michael Carson, 25, of Shreveport. Carson received minor injuries during the fight.

The argument began about 7:30 p.m. Sunday when two men began arguing and fighting. Then friends of the two men began assisting them. As this was happening, James and Adkins exchanged gunfire, resulting in their injuries.

Several people have been interviewed by detectives. However, no arrests have been made.
