Agurs to donate $500 for police K-9s

Agurs Business Association, a long time supporter of the Shreveport Police Department, will donate $500 to the Shreveport Police Department’s K-9 Unit at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Agurs wanted to help the police department, and chose to give to the K-9 Unit when they learned of the need to support the operation.

The K-9 Unit has eight dogs, which have to be trained, fed, groomed and properly equipped to handle police calls.

The dogs and their handlers have been instrumental in locating a number of suspects over the past couple of years. In some cases, they have even saved officers’ lives.

Please join us for this presentation at 9 a.m. Tuesday in front of the Shreveport Police Facility (Texas Street side).
