Crime Scene conference comes to Shreveport

The Louisiana Division of the International Association for Identification will hold its annual conference at the Holiday Inn – Financial Plaza on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

A variety of topics related to the crime scene investigation and the latest techniques and innovations for CSI will be discussed at the conference. Topics include computer crime, DNA evidence collection, palm print technology, digital imaging, responding to explosives, handwriting examination, domestic violence crime scenes and many others.

Local detectives and crime scene investigators will attend the seminar, as well as those from throughout the state.

Several local law enforcement officers have been actively working on this conference, including members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit. Caddo Deputy Owen McDonnell Jr. is the president of the group.
