Man arrested for fatal shooting on Dalzell

Police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old Shreveport man with manslaughter after he shot and killed 21-year-old Joshua Koob.

John Divine shot Koob at a residence in the 1100 block of Dalzell after Koob reportedly shot at Divine’s brother, Nick Divine.

The incident began after Koob allegedly had committed a burglary of Nick Divine’s apartment. While Nick Divine and Koob were struggling, Koob reportedly grabbed a gun and shot at Nick. That’s when John Devine grabbed a shotgun and shot Koob.

Koob was shot at least three times. He received wounds to his back, face and neck.
