Police look for shooting suspects

Police are developing suspects in a drive-by shooting that killed 26-year-old Demond Marston and injured two others this evening in the 2800 block of Hardy Street.

Alphonse Edmund, 23, and Terry Page, 24, both of Shreveport are recovering from wounds they received in the shooting, which occurred about 5:45 p.m. as the victims were on a front porch eating dinner.

The shooting is deemed to be a retaliation, but detectives currently are investigating what previous action could have prompted the incident on Hardy Street.

A green Toyota Corolla that was driven by the three suspects who are believed to have done the shooting was found a short while later at Sunset and Glenn.

While investigating the shooting, police were notified of an incident at LSU Hospital where people standing outside claimed a man in one of two cars was going to shoot at them. After investigation, police learned that the man had cracked the window down, and the witness claimed "he’s going to shoot." No weapon was found.
