Police arrest two men for 45 local burglaries

Two men were arrested for about four dozen burglaries in Shreveport that occurred in 2000 and 2001. The two suspects are believed to have hit homes primarily located in the Cedar Grove area. Some houses were burglarized more than once.

Exzavious Thomas, 17, of Shreveport is facing 38 counts of burglary, while Adam Jackson, 18, of Shreveport faces nine counts of burglary. Detective Kevin Goodwin, who led the investigation of both suspects, said Thomas also is being investigated for several car burglaries.

Among the charges filed so far against Thomas is the burglary of:

* 6 homes in the 6000 to 6400 blocks of Fairfield Avenue.

* 4 homes in the 900 block of Drexel.

* 2 homes in the 6100 and 6200 blocks of Lexington.

* 2 homes in the 6400 and 6500 blocks of Tulsa.

* 1 home in the 4700 block of Thornhill.

* 3 homes in the 5900 and 6000 blocks of Henderson.

* 8 homes in the 6000 to 6400 blocks of Willard.

* 5 homes in the 800 and 900 blocks of Evangelin.

* 2 homes in the 6100 block of Dillingham.

* 3 homes in the 500 block of E. 69^th Street.

* 2 homes in the 6200 block of Southern.

Jackson is accused of burglarizing:

* 3 homes in the 5900 and 6000 blocks of Henderson.

* 1 home in the 6400 block of Lexington.

* 1 home in the 6400 block of Fairfield.

* 1 home in the 100 block of East Topeka.

* 1 home in the 900 block of Drexel. #

* 2 homes in the 6000 and 6500 blocks of Tulsa. ##
