Police arrest Texas murder suspect

Shreveport Police Department arrested a 27-year-old Shreveport man this afternoon for a homicide that occurred in Texas earlier this month.

Glenn Bethany Jr. was arrested at a home in the 4700 block of Monkhouse Drive. He is in the Shreveport City Jail charged as a fugitive from Marion County, Texas, where he was wanted for the capital murder of Charles Wiggins, 28, of Bivins, Texas.

Wiggins’ body was found in rural Marion County on March 19.

The Shreveport Police Department was assisted by the FBI Task Force and the Texas Department of Public Safety in the arrest.
