Man found dead in Rutherford Street home identified

A man found dead at a home in the 800 block of Rutherford Street has been identified as 47-year-old Ted Ramsey of Shreveport.

Ramsey was found dead in his home at 7:39 a.m. today after his sister discovered blood droplets at the home’s entrance and called police.

The sister went to her brother’s home, because she was concerned when he did not call her last night as expected.

Detectives and crime scene investigators spent the day processing the crime scene and trying to develop leads as to whom may have murdered Ramsey.

The investigation is ongoing, and the coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy of Ramsey to determine the cause of his death.
