Police catch one armed robbery suspect; search for another

Police arrested a 17-year-old Shreveport man for principal to armed robbery, and they are searching for another suspect in two unrelated robberies.

Kenneth Johnson was arrested about 10:30 a.m. today for his part in a robbery of in connection with the March 2 robbery of Werner Park Grocery at 4730 Mansfield Road.

Two black males entered the store, produced a gun, pointed it at the clerk, took money from the register and then left on foot. Johnson was arrested after a warrant for his arrest was issued.

Police are now trying to serve an arrest warrant on another robbery suspect who is believed to have committed two separate robberies.

Demarcus Sullivan, 19, of Shreveport is wanted for the March 13 armed robbery of Advanced Auto, located at 8953 Mansfield Road. He also is a suspect in March 10 robbery of Napa Auto Parts store at 7110 Jewella.

Anyone with information about Sullivan’s whereabouts or about other suspects who may have been involved in any of these crimes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000 or the detective’s office at 673-6955.
