Three more people were arrested today by Shreveport police for separate armed robberies.

Arthur Lee Morgan, 29, of Shreveport and Terry Wayne Washington, 39, of Shreveport are charged with two counts of armed robbery for two separate robberies of Thrifty Liquor stores. They allegedly robbed Thrifty Liquor at 1401 Hollywood on Oct. 23 and the Thrifty Liquor store at 8420 Linwood on Nov. 8. Earlier this month, police arrested another suspect in the robberies, 24-year-old Demetrius McKenney of Shreveport.

Quacy Francis, 25, of Shreveport also was arrested today by the Armed Robbery Task Force for a 1998 armed robbery of an individual. Francis is accused of robbing a man at a home in the 700 block of Navaho Trail on Nov. 10, 1998.

Police also have added additional charges to the following suspects:

* Roy Lee Williams, 40, of Shreveport. Williams, who was arrested earlier this month for a violent purse snatching at Centenary College and for a home-invasion burglary, is now charged with aggravated burglary of a home in the 600 block of Ockley. Williams allegedly forced his way into a home and beat up an elderly couple on Jan. 15.

* Sebron Stephens, 18, of Shreveport. Stephens, who was arrested this month for the armed robbery of Family Dollar at 3730 Lakeshore Drive, is now charged with the Feb. 5 armed robbery of Burger King at 1733 Line Ave.

Today’s arrests bring the total number of armed robbery arrests made this month to 21.
