Armed robbery suspect arrested

Police arrested 21-year-old Breon "Cane" Barnes of Shreveport on two counts of armed robbery Tuesday night.

Barnes is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint in the 2800 block of Lillian Street around 8 p.m. Shortly thereafter, two other people reported being robbed at gunpoint by the same person.

Officers spotted the suspect walking in the 2600 block of West College and attempted to stop him. He ran, but officers were able to apprehend him.

Barnes is in the Shreveport City Jail, charged with two counts of armed robbery.
